About Pilgrim
The story, despite its title, has nothing to do with Puritan separatists. Nor does it have much to do with religion. I chose the title because it sounded much better than Pioneer. :P

So basically, this is a (heavily) rehashed version of an old comic idea I had. The old comic had a really stupid plot and was designed to make fun of all the cliches in 'spirited away' type stories. Especially in manga (ex, Inuyasha, Fushigi Yuugi, Magic Knight Rayearth, etc.).

More recently, I thought, "What if I took the form of that story, but made it serious?" Not completely lacking in comedy, but took the idea seriously and subverted some of those overdone cliche elements.

This is what I came up with, a story about a young woman who finds herself in another land without any prophecies, epic questing, or world-saving to do.

DarKlawStudios is a bit of a misnomer, because there is only one person behind the name. :P Ah well.

I've been interested in comics since I was introduced to fan-comics at a DBZ shrine back in the day. I've been drawing comics on a fairly regular basis since I was 15.

Before starting work on Pilgrim I stopped drawing comics for 20 months, and nearly stopped drawing altogether for 4 months, so it feels very good to be doing what I enjoy again :D

I'm on several other sites too, same username-- GaiaOnline, Elftown, DeviantArt, Tokyopop
I'm trying to remain somewhat active on all.
