It took a ridiculously long time to figure out exactly how to tone the pages for how simple I plan on making the patterns.

It's a beautifully done page, but I'd just like to mention that in that first panel, I had originally thought she was running. I had to double take to figure out that she was lying on the ground. I suspect this is because the sand around her does not seem at all disturbed despite the fact that her body is lying on it.

I totally see what you mean.
I don't really like how I've drawn the ground now that I've had a while to look at it. Once I finish inking this chapter, I'm going to make corrections on all the pages.
